Marilyn Nails with Born Pretty BP-15, Essence „Fatal“ and Artdeco 410

die Idee zu meinem heutigen Design kam direkt, als ich die BP-15 Stamping Schablone von Born Pretty Store gesehen habe.

Die Schablone durfte ich mir zum Reviewen aussuchen und es ist wieder mal eine, die komplett nach meinem Geschmack ist – nur romantische Vintage Motive und Schnörkel. Alle sieben Motive gefallen mir ohne Ausnahme. Am meisten war ich jedoch an dem Marilyn Monroe – Bild interessiert: es sind so viele Details darauf, und man kann nicht gleich erahnen, wie das Gestampte aussehen wird.

I was lucky to choose this plate for review and once again it is the plate, that is entirely to my taste – only romantic vintage designs and flourishes. I liked all seven images without exception. But most of all I was interested at the Marilyn Monroe Image: there are so many details on it, and you can not imagine exactly, how the final stamping will look like.

Ich bin ein Fan von Marilyn und wollte im Design die Hollywood-Atmosphäre der 50er Jahre wiedergeben. Damit das Ganze elegant, glamourös und verführerisch wirkt, habe ich zu den Farben Schwarz-Weiß und dem Glitter gegriffen. Hier sind die verwendeten Nagellacke:

I’m a fan of Marilyn and wanted to recreate the Hollywood atmosphere of the 50s in the design. I chose black and white colors and glitter, in order that it looks elegant, glamorous and seductive. Here are nail polishes I used:

Als Basis habe ich 2 Schichten Essence „Fatal“ aufgetragen, und auf den Mittelfinger kam der weiße El Corazon 173 Matte Effect. Danach wurde mit der BP-15 Schablone und dem „Stamp my black“ von Essence gestampt. Dieser Stamping Lack ist matt, was absolut zu meiner Idee passte. Auf die anderen Nägel habe ich Artdeco Glitter 410 aufgetragen und diese  Nägel ebenfalls mattiert (Born Pretty Super Matte Surface Oil).

As a base I applied 2 coats of Essence „Fatal“, and on the middle finger – the white El Corazon 173 Matte Effect . Thereafter I stamped with the BP-15 plate and „Stamp my black“ by Essence. This stamping polish is matte, which absolutely matched my idea. On the other nails I applied Artdeco Glitter 410 and talso mattified them (Born Pretty Super Matte Surface Oil).

Das Bild von Marilyn ist sogar schöner geworden, als ich mir das vorgestellt habe. Und wie gefällt es Euch?

Ein Hinweis zu der Motivgröße: das Marilyn – Motiv auf der Schablone, die ich bekommen habe, ist 16 mm hoch, also für die Besitzerinnen von langen Nägeln eher ungeeignet. Auf der Seite von Born Pretty Store ist die Image-Höhe mit 18mm angegeben (entweder wurde die Höhe verändert oder die Angaben stimmen nicht). Die Abmessungen von anderen „Ganz-Nagel-Motiven“ stimmen mit meiner Schablone überein. Getestet habe ich alle Motive auf einem Blatt Papier und sie ließen sich problemlos übertragen. A note to the image size: the height of the Marilyn image on the plate , that I get, is 16mm , so rather unsuitable for the owners of long nails. On the homepage of Born Pretty Store the image height is specified with 18mm (either the height was changed or the information is not correct). The dimensions of other „full-nail-pattern images“ were exact as specified. I tested all images on a sheet of paper and could transfer them easily. ou can buy BP-15  here  in the Born Pretty Nail Art Department. I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas featuring Essie and Pueen 26

Hi there,

Weihnachten steht schon vor der Tür, man hat endlich Urlaub, Geschenke sind verpackt,  die letzten Erledigungen gemacht – jetzt kann man abschalten, Stress abschütteln und sich mit den Liebsten entspannen. Ich freue mich richtig auf den Heiligen Abend und die kommenden Tage. Euch möchte ich auch schönes Fest wünschen, lasst es Euch gut gehen!

Christmas is just around the corner, you finally have holiday, gifts are wrapped, the last errands are done – now you can relax, shake off your stress and enjoy the time with your family. Am Heiligen Abend werde ich ein Design mit diesen 3 Schönheiten auf den Nägeln haben: Essie „We’re in together“, „Blanc“ und „Rock at the top“ .

For Christmas Eve I prepared a design with these 3 beauties by Essie: „We’re in together“, „Blanc“ and „Rock at the top“ .

Das Design ist unkompliziert: 2 Schichten „Blanc“ als Basis und 2 dünne Schichten „We’re in together“ darüber (da der Lack nicht sonderlich deckend ist), Glitter-Gradient mit „Rock at the top“ und ein „Accent Nail“ mit dem Stamping (Stamping Schablone Pueen 26). Als Stamping Lack habe ich Konad  „Pastel pink“ genommen.

The design is simple: 2 layers of „Blanc“ and 2 thin layers of „We’re in together“ over it (because the polish is quite sheer), glitter gradient with „Rock at the top“ and the accent nail with stamping (stamping plate Pueen 26). As a stamping polish I chose Konad „Pastel pink“.

Penguin Nail Design with Essence and Born Pretty

Hi there,

heute habe ich ein winterliches Pinguin Design auf den Nägeln, und hier sind seine „Zutaten“.

today I have a wintery penguin design on my nails, and here are its „ingredients“:

Born Pretty Google eyes, Essence Fatal, Snow alert, Stamp me white, China Glaze Stoked to be soaked, Born Pretty - 01.

Für Hauptfarben Schwarz und Weiß habe ich Essence Nagellacke verwendet: „20 Fatal“ und „04 Snow alert“. „Fatal“ ist  das „schwärzeste“ Schwarz, was ich in meiner Sammlung habe, ich habe es bereits vor Jahren gekauft und benutze es immer noch sehr gerne. „Snow alert“ aus der „Mountain Calling“ TE habe ich erst vor kurzem bei DM entdeckt und schon kennen und lieben gelernt. Es ist das perfekte Weiß für Nail Art: deckt in 2 Schichten und trocknet schnell.

For main colors black and white I used Essence nail polishes: „20 Fatal“ and „04 Snow alert“. „Fatal“ is the „blackest“ black, which I have in my collection. I bought it several years ago and have been using it very much. „Snow alert“ from the „Mountain Calling“ Trend Edition I have recently discovered at DM store and  I have already got to know and to love  it . It’s the perfect white for Nail Art: covers in 2 layers and dries quickly.

Die Wackelaugen habe ich bei Born Pretty Store unter Nail Art Accessoires zum Reviewen ausgewählt.  Ich finde, man kann diese in Hunderten von Designs verwenden: egal ob im Winter für Pinguine, Rentiere, Weihnachtsmänner, im Frühling für Osterhasen oder im Herbst für Halloween-Monster oder Eulen – die Möglichkeiten sind unbegrenzt. Man kann die Augen für 2,27 EUR hier kaufen (10 Stück im Set) und die Sets gibt es in verschiedenen Größen und Designs. Ich habe mich für die kleinste Größe entschieden.

The googly eyes were selected by me at Born Pretty Store under Nail Art accessories for review. I think, you can use it in hundreds of designs: either in winter for penguins, reindeer, Santas, in the spring for Easter Bunny or in the fall for Halloween monsters or owls – the possibilities are endless. You can buy the googly eyes for 2.27 EUR  (10 per set) here, and the sets are available in various sizes and designs . I chose the smallest size.

How to Do:

„Fatal“ war die Basis für das Design, mit „Snow Alert“ habe ich dann mit Hilfe von  einem Dotting Tool und einem Pinsel den Bauch gemalt. Für den Schnabel habe ich ein Stückchen Tesafilm mit China Glaze „Stoked to be soaked“ lackiert und ein Dreieck ausgeschnitten (Ich traue mir einfach nicht zu, gerade Kanten mit dem Pinsel zu ziehen 🙂 ) Die Augen und der Schnabel kamen auf den noch nicht trockenen Topcoat, und wurden mit einer weiteren Schicht Topcoat „versiegelt“.

„Fatal“ was the base for the design, then I painted penguin’s belly with „Snow Alert“ using a dotting tool and a brush. For the beak I painted a piece of scotch tape with China Glaze „Stoked to be soaked“ and  cut out  a triangle (I just do not trust myself to draw straight lines with a brush 🙂 ) The eyes and the beak came on the nails directly after the applying the topcoat, and were „sealed“ with another layer of topcoat.

Die Schneeflocken sind gestampt mit mit dem Stamping Lack von Essence „Stamp me white“. Das Motiv ist von der Schablone Born Pretty  01, die ich bereits vor Monaten gekauft habe. Diese wurde in der Zwischenzeit durch die Schablone BP-01 ersetzt und ein Motiv (Weihnachtsmütze) ist nicht mehr darauf.

The snowflakes are gestampt with the stamping polish by Essence „Stamp me white.“ The image is from the stamping plate Born Pretty 01. I bought it many  months ago. In the meantime this was replaced by the plate BP-01 and one image (Santa Hat) is no longer on it.

Polish me Silly „Get Breezy“ and Stamping with Lesly LS-12

heute möchte ich Euch ein Design mit einem wunderschönen Thermo-Lack von Polish me silly zeigen – „get breezy“.

Today I ‚d like to show you a design with a beautiful thermo nail polish by Polish me silly – „get breezy“.

Es ist für mich ein „gute-Laune-Lack“, In einer blauen Base schwimmen hier Glitter-Partikel in Lila, Orange, Blau , Grün und Pink. Bei Wärme ist es ein sehr helles Blau / fast Weiß, bei Kälte – Blau / Türkis. Auf dem Bild unten seht Ihr 3 Schichten ohne Topcoat.

 For me it is a „feel-good nail polish,“ In a blue base swim there glitter particles in purple, orange, blue, green and pink. When it’s warm, it is a very pale blue / almost white, when it’s cold – blue / turquoise. On the picture you see three coats without topcoat.

Passend zum Lack wollte ich ein fröhliches Design kreieren und griff zum pink-farbenen Stamping Nagellack von Mundo de Unas „Orchid“ und der Stamping Schablone von Lesly LS-12 mit dem Blumenmotiv. Durch das knallige Stamping und den Topcoat rückt den Glitter vom Lack  eher in den Hintergrund, ich bin aber trotzdem mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden. Und wie gefällt es Euch?

Matching the polish I wanted to create a fun design and picked up the pink-colored stamping nail polish by Mundo de Unas „Orchid“ and stamping plate by Lesly LS-12 with the flower image. Through the bright pink stamping and the topcoat the glitter of the nail polish moved into the background, but I am still very happy with the result. And how do you like it?

Misslyn Denim Look & Born Pretty BP-25 Stamping Plate

Hi there,

dank diesem Katzen-Design wurde Born Pretty Store auf mich aufmerksam, hat mich angeschrieben und gefragt, ob ich ein paar Produkte aus ihrem Sortiment testen und reviewen würde. Ich habe bereits mehrmals bei Born Pretty bestellt, habe einiges an Nail Art Zubehör von diesem Shop und war natürlich froh, neue Produkte auszuprobieren.

Thanks to this cat design Born Pretty Store became aware of me, wrote me and asked, whether  I would like to test and to review a few products out of their product range. I have ordered several times at Born Pretty already, have quite a bit of nail art accessories of this shop and  of course I was happy to try new products.

Ich habe mich für 3 Produkte entschieden. Eins davon ist die Stamping Schablone BP-25. Ich liebe romantische Nagel Designs, und diese Schablone hat mich auf Anhieb fasziniert: Frau im wunderschönen Kleid, Ornamente, Rosen – genau mein Beuteschema :-).

I chose 3 products. One of them is the stamping plate BP-25. I love romantic nail designs, and this plate fascinated me right off  the bat: woman in a beautiful dress, ornaments, roses – just my yield schematic :-).

Als Farbpalette für das Design habe ich Weiß-Taubenblau gewählt und diese 3 Nagellacke verwendet: Essence „04 Snow Alert!“, Models Own „Indian Ocean“ und Misslyn „08 denim look nailpolish“.

As a color palette for the design I chose White – Dove blue and used these 3 nail polishes: „04 Snow Alert“ by Essence, Models Own „Indian Ocean“ and Misslyn „08 denim look nailpolish“.

Als Basisfarbe diente Misslyn’s „08 denim look nailpolish“  – toller Lack mit mattem Jeans-Effect-Finish. Er schimmert leicht silbrig, braucht 2 Schichten, trocknet schnell und ich bin so was von zufrieden mit diesem Kauf! Auf den Mittelfingerl habe ich 2 Schichten von Essence „04 Snow Alert!“ und 1 Schicht von Models Own „Indian Ocean“ aufgetragen. Diese Kombi zaubert einen Eis-Effekt, den ich leider mit der Kamera nicht einfangen konnte. Je nach Lichteinfall funkelt es blau oder rosa.

The base color is Misslyn’s „08 denim look nailpolish“ – great polish with matte jeans-effect finish. It shimmers in silver, needs 2 coats, dries quickly, and I am so happy with this purchase! On the middle finger I applied 2 coats of Essence „04 Snow Alert!“ and 1 coat of Models Own „Indian Ocean“. This combination conjures an ice effect, which unfortunately I was not able to capture with the camera. Depending on the light it shines blue or pink.

Von der Stamping Schablone BP-25 habe ich für dieses Design die Rosen und die Frauensilholuette gewählt. Die Motive sind gut graviert und ich hatte keine Schwierigkeiten beim Stampen. Die Stampinglacke sind Essence „Stamp me white“ und Mundo de Unas „Blue Gray“.  Auf die gestampten Rosen kam der oben erwähnte „Indian Ocean“  von Models Own. Und hier ist das fertige Design:

From stamping plate BP-25 I chose the roses and the women silholuette for the design. The images are well engraved and I had no difficulies with stamping. The stamping polishes  are Essence „Stamp me white“ and Mundo de Unas „Blue Gray“. I applied the above-mentioned „Indian Ocean“ by Models Own over the stamped roses. And here is the finished design:

Essie „she’s pampered“, „Beyond cozy“, „Going Incognito“ and Stamping with MoYou and Apipila

Hi there,

heute habe ich ein Design in Rot-Silber-Grün mit meinen 3 Essie Schätzchen „she’s pampered“, „beyond cozy“ und „going incognito“ – perfektes Wintertrio mit seinen typischen Weihnachtsfarben. Alle 3 Nagellacke  decken in 2 Schichten, haben einen super bequemen Pinsel und es macht richtig Spaß, sie aufzutragen. Mein absoluter Liebling aus diesen 3 ist „beyond cozy“ –  braucht bei mir zwar etwas länger zum Trocknen als die anderen Essie Nagellacke und beginnt  meistens am 3. Tag abzusplittern, aber ich bin vernarrt in das Finish (glitzerndes Silber / Weißgold) und trage es im Winter und zu allerlei festlichen Anlässen sehr, sehr oft.

Today I have a red-silver-green design with 3 of my Essie babies: „she’s pampered“, „beyond cozy“ and „going incognito“ – perfect winter trio with its typical Christmas colors. All 3 nail polishes cover in 2 layers, have a super comfortable brush and it’s really fun to apply them. My absolute favorite out of these 3 is „beyond cozy“. It dries a bit longer than the other Essie nail polishes and usually starts to chip on the third day o wearing, but I am fond of the finish (sparkling silver / white gold) and wear it in winter and all kinds of festive occasions very, very often.

Für das Design habe ich auf den Daumen, den Zeigefinger und den kleinen Finger „beyond cozy“, auf den Mittelfinger – „going incognito“ und auf den Ringfinger – „she’s pampered“ aufgetragen. Ich wollte ein fröhliches nordisches Design kreieren und habe als Stamping Platten Moyou ProCollection-01 (Dots), Moyou Hipster Collection – 04 (Hirsch Motiv) und Apipila P23 (Strick-/Patchworkmuster) gewählt. Der weiße Stamping Lack ist Essence „Stamp me white“.

For the design I applied on the thumb, index finger and the little finger „beyond cozy“, on the middle finger – „going incognito“ and on the ring finger – „she’s pampered“. I wanted to create a merry Nordic design and chose as stamping plates Moyou ProCollection-01 (dots), Moyou Hipster Collection – 04 (deer ) and Apipila P23 (knitting / Patchwork pattern). The White Stamping Polish is Essence „Stamp me white.“

Anny 383 „Midtown Skyline“, GoldenRose „Carnival 09“ and Bundle Monster BM-H02

meine englischsprachigen Leser haben mich darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass sie beim ersten Besuch meiner Seite den Online-Übersetzer  benutzen oder sogar versuchen, ihr Schul-Deutsch einzusetzen und den Artikel komplett auf Deutsch lesen, bevor sie die englische Übersetzung am Ende des Blogposts entdecken. Also, eine kleine Änderung. Ich werde den Text nach jedem Absatz  ins Englische übersetzen. Und jetzt zum heutigen Design…

My English-speaking readers alerted me to the fact, that they use online translator, when they visit my blog for the first time or even attempt to use their school German and read the article completely in German, before they discover the English translation at the end of the blog post. So, a little change. I will translate the text into English after each paragraph . And now, some words to the today’s design…

Ich habe den Eindruck, jedes zweite neu kreierte Nagel-Design ist momentan ein Schneeflocken-Design. Ich habe mich von dieser Winter-Welle auch mitreißen lassen und habe nun auch „verschneite“ Nägel. Und da es heute Freitag ist, kann ich auch meine blauen Nagellack-Schätzchen ausgraben und am „Blue Friday“ von Ms. Linguini teilnehmen, an dem blaue Lacke vorgestellt werden. Ich habe schon paar mal bei „Blue Fridays“ mitgemacht und meine Designs hochgeladen, hatte aber damals noch kein Blog und war sozusagen „Inkognito“ unterwegs. Jetzt aber ganz „offiziell“ mit diesen 2 Beauties: Anny 383 „Midtown Skyline“ und einem Topper von GoldenRose „Carnival 09“.

I have the impression, that every second newly created nail design is a snowflake design. I  let myself get carried away by this winter wave and also have „snowy“ nails now. And since it’s Friday today, I can dig up my nail polish treasures in blue and participate in „Blue Friday“ by Ms. Linguini, where blue polishes are presented. I joined „Blue Fridays“  couple of times and uploaded my designs, but I had no blog yet and was a sort of „incognito“ participant. And now „official“ participation with these two beauties: Anny 383 „Midtown Skyline“ and a Topper by GoldenRose „Carnival 09“.

Anny „Midtown Skyline“ ist ein schöner, gut deckender blauer Creme-Nagellack mit einem leichten türkisen Stich. Er eignet sich perfekt sowohl für den Sommer, als auch für den Winter. Ich liebe diese Farbnuance und habe sogar einen „Zwilling“ in meiner Nagellacksammlung –  „Can’t find my Czechbook“ von OPI.

Anny „Midtown Skyline“ is a beautiful, opaque blue cream nail polish with a hint of turquoise. It is perfect for the summer and the winter. I love this shade, and even have a „twin“ in my nail polish collection – „Can’t find my Czech Book“ by OPI.

Nach 2 Schichten von „Midtown Skyline“ habe ich 2 Schichten von GoldenRose „Carnival 09“ aufgetragen. „Carnival 09“ war einer der Nagellack-Mitbringsel aus dem diesjährigen Türkei-Urlaub und ist ein Topper mit weiß-blauem Glitzer in durchsichtiger Base. Im Fläschchen sieht er für mich wirklich wie Schnee aus, also habe ich nicht lange überlegt, ihn für den Schneeeffekt zu benutzen.

After two coats  of „Midtown Skyline“ I applied two coats of GoldenRose „Carnival 09“. „Carnival 09“ was one of the nail polish souvenirs from this year’s holiday in Turkey and is a topper with white-blue glitter in clear base. In the bottle it looks to me really like snow, so I did not consider long to use it for the snow effect.

Danach war Stamping an der Reihe. Als Stamping Lack habe ich „Stamp my white“ von Essence und als Stamping Schablone Bundle Monster BM-H02 mit Schneeflocken und dem niedlichen roten Kardinal verwendet. Diesen habe ich dann mit Flormar „Sugar Candy SC08“ und Essence „Fatal“ „ausgemalt“.

Then I stamped with  „Stamp my white“ by Essence and stamping plate by Bundle Monster BM-H02  snowflakes and the cute red cardinal.  After that I coloured this guy with Flormar „Sugar Candy SC08“ and Essence „Fatal“ .

So sieht das fertige Design aus.

Angelica „Milk Caramel“, Claire’s „Boo“, Essence „Fatal“ & Stamping with BM-606

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

für das heutige Design habe ich 3 Nagellacke verwendet: „Milk Caramel“ von Angelica, „Boo“ von Claire’s und „Fatal“ von Essence.

„Milk Caramel“ habe ich letzten Monat bei Primark zu einem unschlagbaren Preis von 1,00 EUR gekauft. Diese Nuance hatte ich noch nicht in meiner Sammlung. Der Pinsel hat mich nicht überzeugt (steif und fächert beim Auftragen nicht auf). Die Farbe ist aber so toll, dass ich hier ein Auge zudrücke – ein warmer pastelliger Honig-Ton, bei dem ich ins Schwärmen gerate.

Der „Boo“ von Claire’s passt meiner Meinung nach farblich sehr gut dazu – ein Topper mit schwarzen Partikeln in unterschiedlichen Größen sowie schwarzen und pfirsich-farbenen Hexagons. Der Topper eignet sich perfekt für Halloween – Designs, ich kann ihn mir aber auch sehr gut mit Grau, Braun oder Beige kombiniert für den Winter oder den Frühling vorstellen.

Auf dem Bild seht ihr 3 dünne Schichten von „Milk Caramel“ und 2 von „Boo“.

Zuerst wollte ich nur diese 2 Produkte kombinieren, habe mich dann aber umentschieden und habe für mehr „Dramatik“ 🙂 den Mittelfinger in schwarz mit dem „Fatal“ von Essence  umlackiert.

Als Stamping Schablone habe ich ich BM-606 von Bundle Monster und als Stamping Lacke „Stamp me black“ von Essence und „Peach“ von Mundo de Unas gewählt. Und hier ist das fertige Design.

Hi there,

for today’s design I used 3 nail polishes: „Milk Caramel“ by Angelica, „Boo“ by Claire’s und „Fatal“ by Essence.

I bought „Milk Caramel“ last month at Primark store to the unbeatable price of 1 EUR. There isn’t any  similar shade in my collection. I was not satisfied with the brush (stiff and doesn’t fan out when applying the polish). But  the color is great, so that I’ll turn a blind eye to the brush. This is a warm pastel honey tone, that sends me into rapture.

In my opinion, Claire’s „Boo“ goes very well with „Milk Caramel“. „Boo“ is a topper with black particles in different sizes as well as black and peach – colored hexagons. The topper is perfect for Halloween designs, but I also can imagine it combined with gray, brown or beige for winter or spring manicures. On the picture you see 3 thin coats of „Milk Caramel“ and 2 coats of „Boo“.

First, I wanted to combine these 2 products only , but then  I changed my mind and painted the middle finger in black with „Fatal“ by Essence for more „drama“ 🙂 . As a stamping plate I chose Bundle Monster’s BM-606 and as stamping polishes „Stamp me black“ by essence and „Peach“ by Mundo de Unas.

El Corazon Matte Effect 162, Kiko 617 & MoYou Sailor Collection – 04

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

heute habe ich ein ganz einfaches Design mit einem wunderschönen matte Nagellack in lila – El Corazon 162 aus der Matte and Shine Effect Collection. Ich habe gleich mehrere Lacke aus dieser Kollektion gekauft, da ich das Finish einfach vergöttere (hier ein Stamping mit dem grünen 163, eins meiner Lieblingsdesigns ever).

Diese Lacke schimmern tatsächlich, und jedes Mal, wenn ich sie trage, muss ich mir ständig auf die Nägel schauen :-).

Die Trockenzeit ist kurz, und die Deckkraft sehr gut. Auf dem Bild seht Ihr 2 Schichten.

Für Stamping habe ich Kiko 617 (Taupe) genommen – ein Mirror-Nagellack, den ich oft und gerne als Ersatz für silberne Stamping Nagellacke benutze.

Hi there,

Today I have very simple design with a beautiful purple matte nail polish – El Corazon 162 from Matte & Shine Effect Collection. I ordered several polishes from this collection, because I love their finish (here is a stamping over the green polish 163  – one of my favourite designs ever).

These nail polishes really shine, and I have to look at my nails again and again, when I wear them :-).

They dry quickly, and the opacity is very good. On the picture you see two coats.

For stamping I chose Kiko 617 (Taupe) – Mirror Nail polish, which I use often as a replacement for silver stamping polishes.

The stamping image is from MoYou plate „Sailor Collection – 04“.
