Yellow roses with Essence, Mundo de Unas and UBERCHIC BEAUTY

Hi there,

„Was hast denn du da auf den Nägeln?“, grinste vor ein paar Wochen ein Kollege, als ich mit gelb lackierten Nägeln im Büro erschien :). Zugegeben, gelbe Nagellacke sind sehr auffällig und sind nicht jedermanns Sache. Ich mag sie aber, besonders zarte Gelb-Nuancen. Und der oben erwähnte Nagellack „Love is in the air“ von Essence trifft voll meinen Farbgeschmack. Es ist ein cremiges Pastellgelb, deckt in zwei Schichten und ist für mich die absolute Frühlingsfarbe.

„What on earth is this?“, a colleague grinned at my nail polish, as I appeared with yellow painted nails in the office a few weeks ago :). Granted, yellow nail polishes are very striking and are not for everyone, but I like them, especially soft yellow shades. And the above-mentioned nail polish „Love is in the air“ by Essence is totally my color taste. It is a creamy pastel yellow, covers in two layers, and for me is the absolute spring color.

Meine Tochter hat übrigens auch ein Auge darauf geworfen und fand, es sei die perfekte Farbe, um in einem unbeobachteten Moment unseren Bodenfliesen einen individuellen Touch zu verpassen. Der Moment war nicht lang genug, um ihr kreatives Projekt zu Ende zu bringen, also habe ich noch etwas Nagellack für das Foto hier übrig.

Incidentally, my daughter also cast an eye at it and found, this is the perfect color to bring a personal touch to our floor tiles in an unobserved moment. The moment was not long enough to bring her creative project to the end, so there is some nail polish left for the picture here.

„Love is in the air“ habe ich zwei Tage lang solo getragen, bevor das Stamping darauf kam. Kombiniert habe ich das Gelb mit dem „Blue Gray“ Stamping Nagellack von Mundo de Unas und zwei floralen Mustern von der wunder-wunderschönen Stamping Schablone von ÜberChic Beauty 1-02.

I wore „love is in the air“ solo two days long, before I decorated it with stamping. I paired yellow with the „Blue Gray“ stamping nail polish by Mundo de Unas and two floral images from the wonderful stamping plate by UberChic Beauty 1-02.

Den schwarzen Kiko 819 habt Ihr bereits ein paar Mal hier im Blog gesehen, der duochrome „Supernova“ von Colour Alike ist jedoch absolut neu und direkt meine Nummer eins unter allen meinen goldenen Stamping Lacken geworden: super pigmentiert, lässt sich perfekt verteilen und auf den Stamper / Nagel übertragen, und die Farbe ist einfach top.

Red Flower Nails with Picture Polish, Moyra and Mundo de Unas

Hi there,

heute etwas mehr Farbe im Blog mit dem roten „Arabian“ von Picture Polish. Der Lack ist eine echte Augenweide sowohl im Fläschchen, als auch auf den Nägeln – definitiv das schönste Rot in meiner Sammlung. Von der Textur ist es ein gut deckender Jelly-Lack mit goldenem Schimmer und Holo-Flocken – wie ein Geschenk aus 1001 Nacht: orientalisch, opulent und farbenfroh. Ein Problem, welches ich mit ihm jedoch habe, ist die Haltbarkeit. Er hält einfach nicht lange auf meinen Nägeln. Das erste Mal habe ich es am 30. Dezember lackiert, voller Vorfreude, mit dieser Schönheit Silvester zu feiern. Die vorsilvesterliche Putz-, Koch- und Abspülaktion hat der Lack nicht überstanden, die Nägel haben bereits am nächsten Mittag jämmerlich ausgesehen. Jetzt habe ich den zweiten Anlauf mit dem Lack gestartet und es in drei Schichten lackiert in der Hoffnung, das es mit drei Coats länger hält. Das Ergebnis: die ersten Absplitterungen kamen am dritten Tag, was in meinen Augen bei dem Lack in dieser Preiskategorie einem schon weh tut. Mein persönliches Fazit: Ich werde „Arabian“ zu besonderen Anlässen tragen, da der Lack ohne Zweifel wunderschön ist und alle Blicke auf sich zieht. Lackieren werde ich es jedoch erst am Abend davor, um unangenehme Überraschungen mit Absplitterungen zu vermeiden.

Today a little more color in the blog with the red „Arabian“ by Picture Polish. This nail polish is a real eyeful in the bottle, as well as on the nails – definitely the nicest red in my collection. From the texture, it is a good covering jelly nail polish with golden shimmer and holo flakies – like a gift from 1001 nights: oriental, opulent and bright. However, one problem, that I have with it, is the durability. It simply does not last long on my nails. The first time I applied „Arabian“ on December 30, full of anticipation to celebrate New Year’s Eve with this beauty . Unfortunately, the nail polish did not survive my pre New Year’s Eve cleaning, cooking and dish rinsing activities, the nails looked miserably already the next afternoon. Now I started the second attempt with the polish and painted it in three layers in the hope, that it lasts longer with three coats. The result: first chips came on the third day, what really hurts (regarding the price category of the nail polish). My personal conclusion: I’ll wear „Arabian“ on special occasions, as the polish is undoubtedly beautiful and attracts everyone’s attention. However, I will apply it only the night before in order to avoid unpleasant surprises with chipping.

Knitted Glitter Nails with Glam Polish, Lesly and Mundo de Unas

am letzten Wintertag ein Design von mir, welches ich im Dezember gemacht habe, aber aus Mangel an Zeit hier noch nicht gepostet habe. Und wenn ich das noch weiter vor mir herschiebe, werde ich wohl im Hochsommer Winter Nail Arts zeigen :-). Also, los geht’s mit winterlichen „Strick“- Nägeln.

on last winter day a nail design, which I did in December, but have not posted here for lack of time. And if I continue to procrastinate on this issue, I will probably show winter nail arts in midsummer :-). So, here we go with wintry „knitted“ nails .

Als Basis fürs Design habe ich einen Glitter-Nagellack von Glam Polish „Run and Tell That“ gewählt. Wieso man Glitzer und Strickmuster kombiniert? Eine logische Erklärung gibt es dafür nicht. Ich fand den Lack einfach so toll, dass ich ihn direkt nach dem Kauf ausprobieren wollte. Und die Lesly Schablone ls-113 mit dem Strick-Muster stand schon ewig auf der Warteliste und passte gut in die Winterzeit und zum damaligen „WinterSchällenge“ Contest von irmas_lackwiese und ellecee_a_like, an dem ich auf Instagram teilgenommen habe.

As a base for the design I chose a glitter nail polish by Glam Polish „Run and Tell That“. Why combining glitter and knitting? A logical explanation for it does not exist. I just found the nail polish so great, that I wanted to try it right after my purchase. And Lesly stamping plate ls-113 with the knitting pattern had been on my waiting list for ages and fit well in the winter time and to the „WinterSchällenge“ Contest by irmas_lackwiese and ellecee_a_like, on which I participated on Instagram.

„Run and Tell That“ erwies sich als wahrer Schatz. Das ist nach „Welcome to the 60’s“ mein zweiter Glam Polish Nagellack, und ich bin über beide Ohren verliebt in dieses Pärchen. Das Glitzern und Funkeln ist wirklich atemberaubend, die Deckkraft ist gut, und man hat keine Probleme beim Auftrag.

„Run and Tell That“ proved itself as a true treasure. This is my second Glam Polish after „Welcome to the 60’s“, and I’m head over heels in love with this couple. The glitter and sparkles are truly breathtaking, the opacity is good, and it is easy to work with.

Hier noch ein Bild von der Stampig Schablone Lesly ls-113, die ich in der ersten Linie wegen dem Strick-Muster gekauft habe. Ich finde solche Strickmotive toll, leider sind sie nicht so gängig. Die Norwegerpulllover Stamps findet man jede Menge, aber „Grundstricktmuster“ kenne ich bis jetzt nur von Messy Mansion Schablone MM40 und Moyou Fashionista-02 bzw. 03. Falls Ihr weitere Tipps habt, her damit 🙂 .

Here is a picture of the stamping plate Lesly ls-113, which I bought mainly because of the knitting pattern. I like such knitting images, unfortunately they are not common. I saw plenty of stamps with norway sweater patterns, but I know such „basic knitting patterns“ only from Messy Mansion plate MM40 and Moyou Fashionista 02 or 03. If you have any other tips, let me know 🙂 .

Butterfly Nails with Cirque Colors, Moyra and Mundo de Unas

Hi there,

heute ein Design mit meinem ersten Nagellack von Cirque Colors – „Xochitl“ aus der Heritage Kollektion. Der Name „Xochitl“ (bedeutet in Aztekensprache „Blume“) passt perfekt dazu. Es ist ein sehr zarter, femininer orchideenlila Nagellack, und dazu noch mit dem Holo-Effekt, der bei direktem Sonnenlicht oder im künstlichen Licht um einiges stärker wird. Zwei Schichten haben absolut gereicht, und der Auftrag war sehr einfach.

Today a nail art with my first nail polish from Cirque Colors – „Xochitl“ from the Heritage collection. The name „Xochitl“ (means „flower“ in Aztec language) fits perfectly. It is a very delicate, feminine, orchid purple nail polish, plus with the holo-effect, which became much stronger in direct sunlight or in artificial light. Two coats were absolutely enough, and the application was very easy.

Ich wollte etwas leichtes und filigranes als Stamping Begleiter zu diesem Lack haben und entschied mich für das Schmetterlingsmotiv mit unglaublich feinen Linien von der Moyra Schablone 16 „Memories„. Als Stamping Lack nahm ich „43 Papyrus“ von Mundo de Unas.

I wanted something light and filigree as a stamping companion for this nail polish and chose the butterfly image with incredibly fine lines from the Moyra stamping plate 16 „Memories„. As Stamping Polish I used „43 Papyrus“ by Mundo de Unas.

Ators „Shiny Red“and Ornaments

heute möchte ich Euch einen Nagellack von Born Pretty Store aus meinem Testpäckchen zeigen. Es geht um den Chamäleon-Nagellack Ators „Shiny Red„.

Laut Beschreibung von Born Pretty Store ist der Lack frei von Toluol, Formaldehyd, Aceton-Lösungsmittel, DBP und anderen krebserregenden Stoffen, was ich top finde. Zweiter Pluspunkt: es kommt gut verpackt an. Auf der Rückseite der Verpackung sind die Inhaltsstoffe angegeben. Und direkt zum kleinen Minus: den Namen „Shiny Red“ von der Born Pretty Store Homepage konnte ich weder auf dem Flakon noch auf der Verpackung finden, die Kennzeichnung auf dem Verpackungsboden ist MS02.

According to the description of Born Pretty Store this polish does not contain toluene, formaldehyde, acetone type solvent, DBP and other carcinogenic substances, which I think is great. Second advantage: it arrived very well packed. On the back of the packaging, the ingredients are given. And directly to a small minus: I could find the name „Shiny Red“ from Born Pretty Store website neither on the bottle or on the packaging, the labeling on the package bottom is MS02.

Das Nagellackfläschchen ist recht groß, enthalten sind hier 16ml. Laut Info auf der Verpackung ist „Shiny Red“ nach dem ersten Öffnen 36 Monate haltbar. Gerade ist der Lack reduziert und kostet $9.66 anstatt $12.88 inkl. Versand.

Das Farbspiel, das man im Flakon sieht, ist wunderschön: es funkelt und changiert von Hell – /Dunkelgrün bis zu Rot / Aubergine.

Beim Auftrag habe ich festgestellt, dass die Deckkraft recht schwach ist. Auch nach der vierten Schicht war der Lack durchsichtig und ich habe beschlossen, das Ganze abzulackieren und nochmal über farbige Base aufzutragen. Gesagt – getan. Zwei Schichten vom schwarzen KIKO 819, eine Schicht Ators und OMG – der Chamäleon – Effekt ist bereits nach einer Schicht sehr stark, und das Ergebnis sieht 1:1 wie im Flakon aus. Den Pinsel fand ich bequem, der Lack lässt sich sehr gut damit verteilen. Getrocknet hat eine Schicht auch schnell. Fazit: ein sehr schöner Lack, ich würde es aber nur in der Kombination mit einem farbigen Unterlack empfehlen.

The nail polish bottle is quite big and contains 16ml. According to information on the package „Shiny Red“ has a shelf life of 36 months after opening. Right now this nail polish is on sale ($ 9.66 incl. shipping instead of $ 12.88 ).
The play of colors, which you see in the bottle, is beautiful: it sparkles and shimmers from light / dark green to dark red / aubergine-color.
Applying it, I found out, that the coverage is quite poor. Even after the fourth coat the polish was transparent and I decided to remove it and to apply again over colored base. Said and done. Two coats of black KIKO 819, one coat ATORS and OMG – the chameleon effect is very strong even with one coat, and the result looks 1: 1 as in the bottle. I found the brush use-friendly, the polish itself is easy to apply and one coat dries quickly. Conclusion: a very nice polish, but I would recommend it only in combination with a colored base polish.

Lace Nails with Nails Inc, Born Pretty, Mundo de Unas & Essence

die, die meinem Blog folgen, wissen, dass ich bei jeder Stamping Schablone mit Spitzenmuster Herzklopfen bekomme :-). Kein Wunder, dass die Schablone Qgirl-017 von Born Pretty Store mich direkt angelächelt hat, als ich mir 5 Produkte zum Testen aussuchen durfte. Außerdem gibt es noch einen Grund, wieso ich mich für diese Schablone entschieden habe: Buchstaben „R“ und „A“ auf der Schablone sind Initialen von meiner Tochter und meinem Mann – eine schöne Möglichkeit, richtig persönliche Nailarts zu kreieren, um meine Liebsten die ganze Zeit bei mir zu haben 🙂

Die Stamping Motive auf der Schablone sind verspielt und mädchenhaft, die Schablone ist gut verarbeitet und man kann Einiges an hübschen Nailarts damit kreieren. Den Preis von $2.99 inkl. Versand finde ich absolut akzeptabel.

The stamping designs on the plate are cute and girly, the plate is well made and you can create a lot of pretty nailarts with it. The price of $ 2.99 incl. shipping is in my opinion absolutely acceptable.

Als Basislack für mein Design nahm ich „Old Park Lane“ von Nails Inc. (ich habe es vor ein paar Monaten als Goodie bei einer Douglas Bestellung bekommen). Ich habe bei dem Nagellack absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Die Farbnuance (Lachs-Rosa), das glossige Gel-Finish, der Auftrag, die Deckkraft und die Trockenzeit sind top.

As a base nail polish for my design I took „Old Park Lane“ by Nails Inc. (I received it a few months ago as a goodie in a Douglas order). I have absolutely nothing to complain about this polish: the shade (salmon pink), the glossy gel finish, the opacity and the dry time are top.

Gestampt habe ich mit dem Mundo de Unas Stamping Nagellack „Dark Gray“. Darüber kam „Best Hip-Hop“ von Essence aus der „Rock Out“ TE zum Einsatz. Der Nagellack (den ich eher als Topper empfinde) enthält viel Glitter, bunte Glitzer-Partikel schwimmen hier in durchsichtiger hellgrauer Base. Bis jetzt habe ich es immer über Schwarz aufgetragen und habe nun eine neue Verwendung gefunden. „Best Hip-Hop“ kreiert einen tollen durchsichtigen funkelnden Schleier, und ich glaube, ich hätte keinen schöneren Lack finden können, um den Spitze-Effekt zu erreichen.

I stamped with the Mundo de Unas stamping nail polish „34 Dark Gray“. Over it I applied „Best Hip-Hop“ by Essence from the „Rock Out“ trend edition. The nail polish (I think, it’s rather nail topper than nail polish) contains a lot of glitter, colorful glitter particles float here in transparent light gray base. Until now I always applied it over black and now found a new use. „Best Hip-Hop“ creates a great sparkling transparent veil, and I think I couldn’t have found a more beautiful polish, to reach the lace effect.

Das Design kann ich mir auch sehr gut ohne farbigen Unterlack vorstellen, so dass man noch etwas von Naturnägeln sieht, also als s.g. „Negative Space“ Nailart.

I can also imagine this design without colored base polish, so that you can still see a bit of natural nails, as „negative space“ nailart.

Dragonflies with Rival de Loop, Mundo de Unas and Born Pretty

Hi there,

ich möchte Euch heute das 2. Produkt aus meinem Testpäckchen von Born Pretty Store zeigen. Das ist ein Karussell mit weißen Nail Art Perlen.

I’d like to show you today the second product from the parcel sent to me for review by Born Pretty Store. This is a wheel box with white nail art pearls.

Als ich sie im Born Pretty Online Shop gesehen habe, dachte ich direkt an zarte, leichte Nailarts in Pastellfarben mit weißen Akzenten (bin ja eine alte, unverbesserliche Romantikerin 🙂 ). Die Perlen gibt es in 4 Größen (von 1,5mm bis 4mm), ich habe mich für die Kleinste entschieden und finde sie perfekt. Mit 1,5 mm wirken die Perlen sehr fein, leicht und überladen nicht das Design. In dem Karussell sind 450 Stück enthalten, und den Preis von $1.79 inkl. Versand finde ich unschlagbar.

As I saw them in the Born Pretty Online Shop, I directly thought about delicate, soft nail arts in pastel colors with white accents (I am an old, incorrigible romanticist 🙂 ). The pearls are available in 4 sizes (from 1.5 mm to 4 mm), I opted for the smallest size and find it perfect. With 1.5 mm these pearls look very fine, delicate and do not overload the nail design. In the wheel box there are 450 pieces, and the price of $ 1.79 incl. shipping is unbeatable in my opinion.

Für das Design, welches ich mir ausgedacht hatte, nahm ich den Sand-Nagellack von Rival de Loop „02 Lavender Star“. Ich bin ein Fan von solchen Farbnuancen, und frage mich, wieso ich den Lack bis jetzt noch nicht lackiert habe – absolut unproblematischer Auftrag, schöner Lavendel Ton, einfach nur bezaubernd! Ein hübsches Stamping Motiv mit Libellen fand ich auf der Stamping Schablone von Born Pretty Store BP-74.

For my nail design I took the sand nail polish from Rival de Loop „02 Lavender Star“. I’m a fan of such nuances, and wonder why I have not tried out this nail polish until now – absolutely unproblematic application, beautiful lavender tone, just adorable! A pretty stamping motif with dragonflies I found on the stamping plate by Born Pretty Store BP-74.

Für Stamping habe ich den Nagellack von Mundo de Unas „1 White“ verwendet. Ein paar weiße Akzente mit den Perlen von Born Pretty Store – und voilà, hier fliegen meine Januar-Libellen. Gefällt es Euch?

For stamping I used the nail polish by Mundo de Unas „White“. A few white accents with pearls from Born Pretty – and voilà, my January dragonflies are flying here. Do you like it?

Snowflakes with Isadora, Born Pretty and Moyra

Hi there,

kurz vor Weihnachten erreichte mich das Testpaket mit fünf Produkten von Born Pretty Store (Danke, liebe Tina 🙂 !) Auf eine Stamping Schablone aus diesem Paket war ich besonders gespannt. Es geht um die BPL-032, die für die Xmas-Zeit einfach perfekt ist. Es ist ein toller Mix aus 18 Winter- und Weihnachtsmotiven. Von obligatorischen Schneeflocken bis zu den Norweger-Mustern und der ganzen Weihnachtssymbolik – es sind wirklich viele schöne Images da, mit denen man dutzende Xmas Designs kreieren kann. Überzeugt Euch selbst.

shortly before Christmas I received a test package with five products from Born Pretty Store (thank you, dear Tina 🙂 !) I was particularly excited about one stamping plate from this package. It’s BPL-032, which is just perfect for Xmas time. It’s a great mix of 18 winter and Christmas designs. From obligatory snowflakes to the Norwegian patterns and throughout the Christmas symbols – there are really a lot of beautiful images there, with which you can create dozens of Xmas designs. Ich hatte schon lange eine Nailart Idee im Kopf, die ich mit dieser Schablone endlich verwirklichte. Ich wollte mit Holografik Lacken über Matte-Nagellack stampen, da der Holografie Effekt in diesem Fall so toll zur Geltung kommt. So entstanden zu Weihnachten meine Holo-Schneeflocken mit Nagellacken von Moyra Nr. 253 und 255 und dem wunderschönen „824 Vintage Wine“ von Isadora aus der „Velvet Matt Nails“ Reihe, und ich mochte das Ergebnis sehr.

For a long time I had a nail art idea in my mind, that I finally realized with this plate. I wanted to stamp with holo polishes over matte nail polish, because the holographic effect is amazing in this case. So I created for Christmas my holo snowflakes with nail polishes by Moyra No. 253 and 255 and the beautiful „824 Vintage Wine“ by Isadora from the „Velvet Matte Nails“ series, and I loved the result very much.

Die Auswahl an unterschiedlichen Schneeflocken auf der Born Pretty Schablone ist groß, die Motive sind detailliert und gut eingraviert und ich hatte keine Schwierigkeiten beim Stampen.

The choice of different snowflakes on the Born Pretty plate is large, the images are sharp and well engraved, and I had no difficulties when stamping.

Winter Fairy Tale with Picture Polish, Chez Delaney, Born Pretty & Mundo de Unas

Hi there,

vor kurzem habe ich an einer Nailart Challenge „Winter Fairytale“ teilgenommen. Als ich das Thema gelesen, habe, hatte ich sofort einen Nagellack vor meinen Augen – „Orbit“ von Picture Polish.

„Orbit“ ist ein wahnsinnig schöner Sandlack in Dunkelblau mit Lila-Unterton und viel feinem silbernem Glitzer. Er deckt sehr gut in 2 Schichten, trocknet schnell, und ich bin einfach verliebt in ihn. Wenn das kein Wintermärchen ist… 🙂

recently I have participated in a nail art competition „Winter Fairytale“. As I read the topic, I immediately had one nail polish before my eyes – „Orbit“ by Picture Polish.
„Orbit“ is an insanely beautiful sand nail polish in dark blue with purple undertone and a lot of fine silver glitter. It covers very well in 2 coats, dries quickly, and I’m just in love with it. If that’s not a winter fairy tale … 🙂

Für mehr Wintermärchen-Feeling habe ich das Bild mit einer hübschen jungen Frau von der Stamping Schablone Chez Delaney „Hommes/Femmes 001“ und die Schneeflocke von der Schablone QA58 (Born Pretty Store) gewählt und diese mit dem Stamping Nagellack von Mundo de Unas „White“ gestampt.

For more winter fairy tale feeling I chose the image with a pretty young woman from the stamping plate Chez Delaney „Hommes / Femmes 001“ and the snowflake from the plate QA58 (Born Pretty Store) and stamped those with the stamping nail polish by Mundo de Unas „White „.
